Donyé Price is proof that you can be the hero in the fire and the calm in the storm.
As Chester, Pennsylvania’s first Black female firefighter and the author of Girls Can Be Firefighters Too, she’s spent years showing kids that courage comes in every shade, shape, and hairstyle. Whether she’s answering real emergency calls or reading to a room full of wide-eyed students, she uses her story to remind young people that their possibilities are bigger than their fears.
And while she fights fires at work, she’s also learned how to put out the ones that burn quietly inside us: stress, doubt, survival mode disguised as strength.
That’s where My SereniTeas was born.
Donyé created SereniTeas as a reset for real people - the ones who get things done, but forget to breathe. Through sound, water, and community experiences, she offers people a space to remember who they were before the world got so loud. No gurus. No perfection. Just a safe place to land.
She’s a proud mom of three, a lifelong student of peace, and a believer that purpose doesn’t require burnout to be valid.
